Perfect addition to my compact home gym setup! Came super fast, was packaged well, easy to install and use! I would definitely try this addition to your setup if you're cramped on space but still want a leg press option.
I love the plate, compared to trying to balance just the bar. It does take a little time to get the right angle so that the hooks open on the Smith Machine, but well worth it.
The leg press foot plate is a great addition to the smith bar to add leg press to your routine. The plate is a good width and is hefty. Awesome build quality. I have had no issues with it slipping. There is a learning curve on the mounting angle to get the bar on the hooks, but once you get it, it’s great.
Overall really happy with this attachment by Ritfit. Another tool in the tool chest making the M1 Pro all in one that much better. Because it’s a smith machine leg press you aren’t going to have that rock solid press plate to push into like a regular press plate and part of the work here is lighter loads while balancing the leg press plate. As long as you know that going in, I think you’ll be happy with this attachment and movement. Great alternative if you don’t have the space or budget for the leg press hacksquat combo. Also good piece for rehab.
This works perfect. Nice traction for feet. I would recommend a small piece of foam between bar and plate connection. The heavier the weights, it tend to slip a little on bar.
Is kind awkward to use ( at first). Not sure if has to be fastened or lose to use it .
Needs better instruction to se t up . This was my initial impression ( disregard)😊
After trying for coupe of day I have to say that this equipment is AWESOME 👏 👍👍👍.
This company rocks and I will purchase more equipment.
Not sure if this is something I would recommend as far as the benefit to adding this piece. I’m finding it hard to position myself under the plate to feel the work before my ankle bends. Positioning the plate is challenging with consideration of the hooks on the smith machine. The quality is outstanding though! Easy to latch on, the plate stays in place or you have the option to slightly loosen the latches so it adjust with foot movement. I’m going to work on my form with this, but I think I will eventually get a RitFit leg press machine
Product itself is great. Took 2.5 weeks to get any shipping info and i had to reach out to them yo ask where my order was or what was going on. A simple heads up email if it was on backorder would have been nice.
I didn’t get pictures or videos of this in action, but it’s SUPER easy to use and feels secure. I see some reviews had some issues with the sturdiness of it and some worries of it rotating, but I don’t feel that there will be any issue with it. I didn’t load it with the same weight I would load a proper leg press just for safety reasons, but I do single leg press on this with lower weights and feel it is a great addition for a home gym owner that needs to maximize space while still hitting every major muscle group.
The plate has a tendency to slip on the bar. I added some rubber grip to the clamps and that helped a lot. Smooth metal doesn't grip well. It is durable but if the plate spins while doing the leg press that creates a safety hazard.
