What configurations does the M2 offer, and how do I choose the right one?
The M2 comes in four setups:
- M2: Carriage + Standard Smith
- M2-3D: Carriage + 3D Smith
- M2 Pro: Weight Stack + Carriage + Standard Smith
- M2 Pro-3D: Weight Stack + Carriage + 3D Smith
Choose 3D for more natural movement, or Weight Stack for fast, safe resistance adjustment.
What’s the difference between the 3D Smith and a traditional Smith machine?
A traditional Smith machine only moves vertically, while the 3D Smith allows both vertical and horizontal movement—mimicking real-life motion for more functional training and stability.
How heavy is the built-in weight stack? Do I still need weight plates?
The M2 Pro/ M2 Pro 3D models include a built-in weight stack with 13 plates per side (11lb each), totaling 143lb per side. This allows quick and safe resistance changes. Additional weight plates can be added if needed.

Set it up by myself, not ideal, but definitely doable! Just used it for the first time and it is incredible. One stop shop piece of equipment
The instructions are easy to follow in setting it all up. So far, most is working smoothly. Downsides: a couple of the posts arrived already scratched and a couple of the plate holders have bulge in them so the plates don't settle all the way on.
Missing a few bolts and several dents scratches for a 3k set. But once put together it is sturdy and effective.
Contact me! This machine is bent or something not right. Customer service is horrible!!! Tried calling and emailing multiple times with no response.
The RitFit M2 pro is perfect for my home garage! A very easy to follow guide and set up, I’ll be ordering attachments and other equipment!

Bought the Gazelle Pro Combo and loved there equipment so much I purchased the M2 Pro and absolutely love this machine. Not bad at all to put together. I would recommend reference to the video for extra help with instructions. Highly Recommend
The equipment operates as expected and so far appears to be a solid purchase. The only issues that caused this to be 4 star instead of 5 star were 1. Instructions are not overly straight forward and the pictures showing pieces of the equipment are different throughout that should stay the same and 2. A few of the pieces of equipment were labeled "R" instead of "L" which led to additional assembly time to figure out what needed to be done to be installed correctly.
It’s great Tonya e this equipment in my home. Going to a gym takes me away from the family for too long.
If I could I’d give it a 4.5. It’s great and it’s rare something is perfect. This provides everything I need , fits in my basement gym space (lower ceiling height), was reasonable to assemble, and nothing (in spite of the number boxes) was missing. There are plenty of little things that in theory could be better but these would be trade-offs that might not suite everyone. It’s an excellent piece for a home gym.
Assembly was pretty straightforward, knocked it out the same day I recieved that last boxes. A few pieces had some dings but not super noticeable. Everything arrived in 3-4 days. Overall I am extremely satisfied, this thing is a beast and does everything I want.
I absolutely love my M2 3-D cage. However, I did have a couple of disappointments. The assembly process was a bit challenging because the instructions weren’t as straightforward as I had hoped. Also, my cage didn’t come with all the screws and bolts, which was really frustrating. Overall, it’s still a fantastic purchase, and I’d recommend it to anyone interested—just be prepared for some challenges when putting it together.
I just got the machine together. Very excited to start using it, get back in shape!

We love our 3d smith machine. It took me and my wife a few hours to put it together. Pretty straight forward. Great machine and products.
One deciding factor in choosing the M2 was that it looked good. I was showing my constant companion other competitors for 1k-2k more and the RitFit looked the best. I went with M2 due to a bit stronger than M1. I will remain in the ecosystem and do not care about other company's attachments.
Easy to assemble and works like a charm! Love the variety of exercises i can do with this machine!
The 3d motion is smooth and feels like one is being spoiled. Cables glide over the pulleys and appreciate how they keep releasing new accessories to expand it's versatility.
Overall a great investment. There are a few issues that keep it from 5 star. During assembly, the smith bar would not engage with the safety pegs. After re adjusting the bar a few times I ended up slightly bending it into proper position. Also the 3D portion of the smith machine does not move forward and back evenly. There is about 1 inch difference between the left and right side. Both of my issues are very common from online research but do not effect overall performance.
Can’t wait for it to be built and have my first workout!
