Customer Reviews
Overall rating: 4.1 / 5 from 42 reviews.
I installed it and used it 2 times and it was a major upgrade to my routine. Unfortunately today I was doing pull downs with 50lbs and it tore my cable. I am hoping to receive a replacement cable because the machine was working perfectly before this ratio attachment. Also the cable comes out at the bottom it needs an extra cable stop.
Very nice upgrade. Change between 1:1 and 2:1 ratio quickly, especially helpful for back exercise like lat pulldown and row. Did mod to put pulley on the side so it won't interface with the leg holder attachment.
Not sure what im doing wrong. The second it goes under tension it falls off and thats with me pulling slowly at first. Both pulleys and adjusted the part around the weights. Can't do cable flies with 1:1 it max's out at the top before completing the fly. Just went to use it at lower position and pinched the clear coat off the cable as it got wedged between the pulley and 2x2 frame. Any advise would be helpful to prevent further damage to cable or me pulling off the 1:1 ration pulley.
Not perfect
Solves the problem of the weight capacity cap and the annoyance of moving hundreds of pounds onto the cable, however it is not perfect. You cannot use the bottom most cable level with this attachment, the bottom pulley will come off of the track. Also, it is very hard to latch the two pulleys together when weights are on the cable, and that is why I am using a third carabiner as seen in the video. For very strong lifters it is worth it, otherwise I would keep the standard cable system.
The angle the 1:1 attachment forces the cable and pulley into will come off and ruin your cable. I got this for free and still wish I hadn’t. It’s a poor design. The rack itself is incredible for the price but the attachment needs an additional pulley to accommodate the cable coming from the side
I like having the 1:1 option but I did drop a star just from a little frustration with the pulley arrangement when the trolleys are at the lower points.
The 1:1 DIY Works great, the only reason I gave it 4 stars is the incompatibility with the lat pulldown makes it a bit tougher to use. Overall a great product and I don't regret the purchase
First, this upgrade is massive. I immediately felt a difference in my workout with the 1 to 1 system, and I didn't have to load as many plates! 10/10 for that reason alone. I love it. I gave this 4 stars for 2 reasons:
#1 - I had to add 3rd-party cable stops. Before installing them, the bottom cable had a great tendency of falling out of the track. With the cable stops, it works great.
#2 - Unfortunately, when the cable is at the lowest setting, the bottom cable comes out of the track every time unless you use it at an inward angle. I have simply detached the bottom carabiner and gone back to 2 to 1 when I need to do exercises on the lowest setting. Works like a charm.
These little inconveniences are worth it, in my opinion. I 100% recommend this upgrade. 💪🏾👊🏾
I really was excited about this. And while it is good, it isn't great, so 4 stars. What is wrong? The assembly was fairly easy. 30 minutes? However the lower cable is only held in place by the clip. And it moves when not under load. So the cable can jump off the pulley. Adjusting would help, but the cable is no securely held. A cable stop is needed. 3rd party ones are available.
When at the top of the rack the slack and lack of cable stop makes it not high enough for full range of motion lat pulldowns. Note. The cable stop, when installed could fix this.
When at the bottom of the rack the cable angle is too sharp. So you have to move it up one to do seated rows.
I LOVE the 1:1 ratio. No longer have to load 200 lbs to lift 100 lbs of weight. Exactly what I want.
Note to RitFit. Look at changing the sliding bracket so that the pulley is on the outside of the rack instead of the middle. This would help solve the cable angle issue. Not sure if that will create other issues.
The diy dual ratio kit is a must have. I no longer have to load my stack horns with plates just to work my back. I went with the modified version and it has worked great for me. Great price to double your weight.
With the addition of the RTM1 the cable doesn’t have enough slack for the weight stack to sit flush. I have to push down the weight stack for the pin to be able to move in and out of the stack freely. If anyone has any suggestions on how to solve this I’d really appreciate it and with the tightness it’s hard to clip any handles on both top and bottom pulley to get that 1:1 feeling.
The cable drags on the bottom pulley and the cable jumps off completely if you lower it to bottom hole. I would like to return. I went back to original set up.
I purchased the Ritfit M1. Added the weight stack and high lat attachment. Excellent equipment and I give it all 5 stars. Recently added the dual ratio kit 1:1 and was very disappointed. The attachment does not allow the cables to be used on the lowest setting. The cable angle is too extreme and will pop off the pulley. I use the lowest setting frequently and bought the 1:1 ratio kit so I would not have to add plates at this position. It was a fail. I have removed the kit and went back to the old setup.
Overall, Ritfit is still awesome.
Rit Fit has been extremely great to deal with on all my purchases! They have been very timely in their responses to my questions, helpful and professional. I would recommend doing business with Rit Fit!
While I have not installed it yet, everything is packaged very well and look to be same quality as the M1 pro. I will be using some of the tricks others have posted online and I am sure if I ahave any issues customer service will take care of it quickly.
Finally came, but install required a few modifications. It didn’t come with spherical balls for cable, but I had contacted customer service and they sent them out. Honestly if the weights I had ordered arrived prior to this order, I would not have purchased this due to the weights provide enough weight, with maybe adding a plate or 2. Setup and usability is not so practical, and I understand this is still 1st gen.
Easy to install and use. I wish I would have ordered it sooner, being able to have both sides go 1:1 or 2:1 let's me link them together for heavy resistance or heavy on one side for me and light on the other for my wife.
Easy install! Missing the rubber ball stoppers, but support already confirmed they will be sending them over. Used this in a workout today and it makes it so much easier to swap from 2:1 and 1:1, therefore increasing my efficiency in each exercise and saving me a bunch of time. My workout that usually takes me 1-1.5 hours was complete in about 50 minutes. This is HUGE considering I typically work out when my kid is nap if or during lunch.
Love this upgrade! The only issue i have is that it didn’t come with the rubber ball stoppers. This makes the bottom cable clip retract into the pulley mechanism. Overall a good buy though
